Jeff Dodd is running for the Napa Valley College Board of Trustees, Area 2. The area includes most of Central Napa, including the Alphabet Streets, Downtown Napa, Old Town, and the Alta Heights neighborhood.
Jeff believes that Napa Valley College is an incredible community resource that can be doing so much more for students, faculty, and the community. He wants the college to prioritize projects that promote student success, like developing affordable housing on the 160-acre campus and creating new public-private partnerships that provide technical skills and training necessary to succeed in today's economy. Not only will these efforts directly support our students and teachers, but it will provide a direct benefit to the Napa community as well.
Currently, Jeff is a land use and environmental law attorney at the law firm of Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass. He serves on the Board of Directors of Connolly Ranch Education Center and Community Health Initiative, Napa County. He is also a delegate on the Napa County Democratic Central Committee. Previously, he served on the Napa County Park and Open Space District Advisory Committee and the Napa County Agricultural Protection Advisory Committee, as an alternate.
Dodd is a Democrat, born and raised in Napa. He lives in Downtown Napa with his wife, Kelly. After attending Napa Valley College, Jeff transferred to University of California, Santa Barbara, where he graduated with a double major in history and political science. He went onto the University of Pacific McGeorge School of law where he served on the McGeorge Law Review and graduated with honors. During law school, Jeff worked at the California Supreme Court for Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye.
